The Formula 1 movie currently in production starring Brad Pitt will be released on 25 June 2025 and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the Apple Original Films production will be distributed internationally on 25 June next year but only launch in North America on 27 June 2025, including in IMAX theaters, it has been confirmed.
The as-yet-untitled film stars veteran Pitt and his rookie teammate played by Damson Idris driving for the fictional APXGP team, with shooting taking place at multiple races over the past year and including the current grid and all 10 teams. Production is ongoing and will continue at this year’s British Grand Prix early next month, as well as multiple races up to and including the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.
Made in collaboration with Formula 1, production was impacted by the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (Sag-Aftra) strike last year, but has since restarted.
As well as Pitt and Idris, the film also stars the likes of Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo and Callie Cooke.
