New IMSA GTD PRO entrant DragonSpeed has confirmed that it will partner with Risi Competizione in its 2025 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign. The team has also completed its Rolex 24 At Daytona line-up in the No. 81 Ferrari 296 GT3 with the addition of Ferrari aces Davide Rigon, Miguel Molina and Thomas Neubauer joining the previously announced Albert Costa.
Elton Julian’s DragonSpeed team entered a pair of races at the end of the 2024 season — the Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis in GTD and Motul Petit Le Mans in GTD PRO — with its eye on a full season in 2025. The team has dipped its toes into many facets of motorsports and boasts three Rolex 24 victories along with a 24 Hours of Le Mans win in LMP2.
Risi has been a staple of IMSA competition for years with Ferrari, competing in the Michelin Endurance Cup in recent seasons, including a Rolex 24 victory in January. Giuseppe Risi’s outfit isn’t expected to field a car under its own banner in 2025, but will contribute technical resources to DragonSpeed.
