With the NTT IndyCar Series migrating from NBC to FOX for 2025, many changes are in store for Penske Entertainment’s top racing property. One area of interest involves the 100 Days To Indy docuseries that debuted in 2023 on The CW in a co-production between Penske and VICE TV, and returned earlier this year for another season with Penske taking a greater role in its creation.
Despite being a ratings failure on The CW with an average of 177,000 viewers for the six-episode run in Season 2, 100 Days To Indy found a healthy new audience once it arrived on Netflix, and also developed new viewers for IndyCar’s racing broadcasts.
Based on information shared with RACER by Penske, the docuseries is credited internally for adding 102,000 new viewers to IndyCar’s races in 2024. Those cited as individuals who’d never watched an IndyCar race beforehand viewed an episode of 100 Days To Indy in Season 2, and went on to watch at least two races afterwards.
