“NASCAR: Full Speed,” the well-received docuseries that debuted earlier this year, will return for a second season on Netflix. The season will premiere in 2025.
NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures not only confirmed the return of the docuseries, but announced the formation of a new production partnership, Full Speed Entertainment. It will lead to the development of content from documentaries, series and specials events, studio shows, podcasts, and more.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our partnership with NASCAR with Full Speed Entertainment,” said Connor Schell, the CEO and founder of Words + Pictures. “The first season of Full Speed was a really rewarding project for our company, and it was a thrill to work side-by-side with NASCAR Studios every step of the way. The opportunity to bring audiences more great racing content and collaborate with NASCAR opens a wealth of possibilities we can’t wait to get working on.”
The first season of “NASCAR: Full Speed” debuted in January and consisted of five episodes. It began with the final race of the regular season where the 16-driver playoff field was locked in. The following four episodes followed the postseason unfold and featured interviews with drivers, crew chiefs, analysts, and others close to the action.
